DR. SANDHYA GUDAPATI
Specializes in adult, adolescent and child psychiatry. She brings extensive training and continuing education in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders with pharmacology management. She has been in private practice since 1991. Born and raised in the southern part of India. Dr. Gudapati attended medical school at Osmania Medical College upon graduation she came to the United States to continue her studies. She did her residency in psychiatry at the University of Nebraska where she finished her general psychiatry training. She also attained her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Gudapati believes that there is always more to be learned and mastered.
DR. PAROOL PATEL
Dr. Patel is Board Certified and licensed in Adult Psychiatry and Neurology. She attended St. George’s School of Medicine and continued with a 4 year residency in Psychiatry at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus, NJ. Dr. Patel believes in understanding the ‘whole’ person and her in-depth analysis is key to her success. She has helped patients with varying diagnoses to not only recover but to also adapt to living a more full life.
DR. MINA SHALABY
Dr. Shalaby is a clinical psychologist and trained neuropsychologist with over 8 years of experience in treatment and assessment of children and adults with a variety of psychological and neuropsychological disorders. He completed a two-year post-doctoral program specializing pediatric neuropsychology working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders to help identify their unique needs to provide recommendations, accommodations, and strategies to compensate for cognitive and psychological deficits to aid them to be successful in academic and social settings. He has worked with adults and young adults looking for accommodations for school and high stakes exams for college and graduate school purposes.
SANDRA HAYDEN, LCSW
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is has done her graduation in Psychology and her Master in Social Work from Cal State, Long Beach. She is a certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) therapist and specializes in the area of trauma. With her years of experience she can give therapy to clients with post traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, anxiety disorder, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, low self esteem, relationships conflict, parenting, anger management, issues related grief and loss, life issues and employment stress.
TERRY MAHER, LCSW
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with a B.A. in Psychology from California State University Long Beach, and an MSW from University of Southern California with an emphasis on mental health services. He has experience providing: individual and group therapy with adults, therapy and behavior modification with at risk youth and their families, language and skill building with autistic children and developmentally disabled adults, vocational training with special education students, substance abuse counseling, therapy with the chronic and persistently mentally ill, as well as in home grief counseling with older adults. He has 12 years of experience working with families and adolescents in crisis.
LYNNE PALMER, MFT
A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in adolescent and adult issues. She is a graduate from California State University, Fullerton and has Masters degree in Psychology from Chapman University with emphasis on marriage, family and child. She brings with her several years of counseling experience. She has rendered therapy and has addressed issues of domestic violence, alcohol and drug abuse, sexual abuse and gender issues, anger management. Ms Palmer works on setting up goals with her clients and then helps them focus on those in her therapy sessions. She is very dedicated and guides the client to strive and reach for the set up goals.
KATHERINE VILCHEZ, MFT
I have extensive experience with those experiencing depression, anxiety, life changes, divorce, and grief issues. You would benefit in therapy with me if you are looking to improve your quality of life, particularly with interpersonal relationships. I assist managing current life stresses and interpersonal conflict. Often, clients need support through minor or major transitions in life. My approach to therapy includes the use cognitive behavioral techniques as well as a focus on family dynamics. I make extra efforts to build upon a client’s strengths. Because thoughts and feelings have a great impact on our well being, I strive to strengthen self understanding as well as communication. I work with clients from age 3 and up. I am bilingual in Spanish/English.
ELVIA CORREA-DIAZ, LCSW
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (L.C.S.W), I work with individuals and families to make a therapeutic connection by giving them the tools, skills and confidence they need to lead the lives they want. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California with over 30 years of clinical experience. As a bilingual, Spanish and English therapist I have worked with Clients from many countries that are experiencing traumatic changes in their lives. My experience includes managing my own private practice in Los Angeles from 1989 to 1998, there I focused on providing treatment to children, adolescents, couples, and families where many of my clients suffered from ADHD, domestic violence, child abuse, gender identity issues, PTSD, or were victims of violent crime.
MEGAN JIMENEZ, LMFT
A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that has experience with individuals of all ages with disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective, Mood disorders, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She is a graduate with her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University. She has experience working in an outpatient clinical setting as well as an inpatient level 12 group home for adolescent females. Megan focuses on the needs of each individual clients and recognizes that instilling hope and providing a safe environment for a client is essential for a client to grow and develop.
DR. SARAH ADAMS
Dr. Adams is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1985. She completed her clinical psychologist program at Fuller Seminary. Dr. Adams has been trained in the Mitchell Model for critical incident stress debriefing and has been called to respond to a crisis within 24 to 48 hours of the incident. Dr. Adams also received training in EMDR as an avenue to reducing strong feelings associated with experiencing a trauma. Dr. Adams sees clients ranging from age eight to the geriatric population. Typical treatment issues focus on reducing problematic symptoms associated with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder, parenting issues, divorce and separation counseling, grief issues, sexual and physical abuse victims, and behavioral problems for children and teens.
GRANT CLARKE, LCSW
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I have worked in hospitals, outpatient programs, as well as private practice settings. I have helped many individuals over the past 17 years with mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families throughout my career. My goal with all of my clients is to help them be mentally healthy and the best version of themselves they can be. I use mindful therapeutic strategies with an approach that is integrative, primarily utilizing CBT-based and strength-based interventions. I seek a collaborative therapeutic approach with clients to facilitate emotional and mental well-being, balance, growth, and internal stability. I use an approach that emphasizes each client’s treatment interventions according to their personal needs to support each person individually in their healing process. I provide a safe and healing environment in therapy in which individuals can talk about their challenges and benefit from a supportive and healing relationship.
ERICA CHAVEZ, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults. My clinical work includes working with issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD), self-esteem, behavioral issues, codependency, cultural issues and relationship problems. As a therapist my goal is to collaboratively work with you and empower you to overcome personal obstacles and improve your overall sense of wellbeing. I offer a safe space allowing you to openly address your concerns and develop insight and new ways to cope.
DR. APPOLONIA OLUMBA DNP, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC
Dr. Olumba is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She attended Azusa Pacific University for her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. California State University Dominguez Hills for her Master of Science in Nursing / Family Nurse Practitioner, and National University for her post graduate certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Dr. Olumba have wealth of knowledge in patient care over the years in both medical and mental health care. She works as a PCMH primary care provider in outpatient internal medicine clinic with the Los Angeles County DHS acute care network (ACN). As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she has helped patients with multiple mental illness diagnosis, to overcome their mental health challenges, and able to function in their full capacities in the society, and maintain their wellness as well as their well-being.
ANTHONY HINES PMHNP-BC
A Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and graduate of Midwestern State University in Texas. His background includes working with diverse populations of all ages and experience in treating depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, eating disorder, post traumatic stress disorder and substance use disorder. As a provider, his focus is to help individuals achieve their goals by respecting and meeting their needs through collaborative care and client education.
